OLD LIMERICKS
Collected by
Michael Edwin Q.

A valiant young sportsman named Fisher
Once fished from the edge of a fissure
A fish with a grin
Pulled the fisherman in
Now they’re fishing the fissure for Fisher!

A maiden who walked on the Corso
Displayed a great deal of her torso
A crowd soon collected
But no one objected
And some were in favor of more so!

There was a young lady named Clair
Who had a magnificent pair
Or that’s what we thought
Till we saw one get caught
On a thorn and begin losing air!

There was a young lady from Penn
Who said, “Let us do it again-
And again and again
And again and again
And again and again and again!

God’ plan had a hopeful beginning
But man spoiled it all just by sinning
We trust that this story
Will bring back God’s glory
But at the moment, the other side’s winning!

One night an amorous young Sioux
Had a date with a maiden he knew
The coroner found
The couple had drowned
Making love in a leaky canoe!
